The Dreamy Bean has officially returned to Coffee & Bark, bringing back a seasonal favorite just in time for warmer weather. Available for a limited time at both our Berkley and Hazel Park locations, this Coffee & Bark original quickly became a fan favorite after its debut last year, earning a loyal following and plenty of requests for its return.

Created in-house by Coffee & Bark owners, the Dreamy Bean was designed to be something a little different from a traditional seasonal latte. We wanted a drink that felt light, refreshing, and easy to enjoy on a warm day while still delivering the espresso-forward experience coffee lovers crave. The result is a unique seasonal drink that has become one of our signature offerings and a favorite among guests looking for something a little different.

What Is the Dreamy Bean?

The Dreamy Bean combines espresso, lavender, vanilla, and your choice of milk, topped with our refreshing lemon cold foam. While we can make it with any milk you’d like, we typically recommend oat milk, which complements the lavender and citrus notes particularly well and helps create the smooth, creamy texture the drink is known for.

The combination creates a drink that is lightly floral and beautifully balanced. It’s unique without being overpowering, with bright lemon flavor complementing the espresso and vanilla for a profile that’s both familiar and unexpected.

Inspired by Slowing Down

When we first developed the Dreamy Bean, we weren’t trying to create the sweetest drink on the menu or the most over-the-top seasonal special. Instead, we wanted something that felt calm, refreshing, and balanced—a drink that captured those moments when you can slow down for a few minutes, take a breath, and reset.

The subtle floral notes from the lavender pair naturally with vanilla and espresso, while the lemon cold foam adds a vibrant finish that keeps the drink feeling light and approachable. Whether you’re starting your morning, taking a break during a busy workday, or meeting a friend for coffee, the Dreamy Bean was created to bring a little bit of that relaxed feeling into your day.

Best Enjoyed Iced

While the Dreamy Bean can be prepared hot or iced, we created and recommend it as an iced drink. The refreshing combination of lavender, vanilla, espresso, and lemon cold foam was designed with warmer days in mind, making it a natural choice for spring and summer. Served over ice, the flavors shine while remaining light, crisp, and easy to enjoy.

If you’re a hot coffee drinker, we’re happy to make it hot as well. The lemon cold foam still sits beautifully on top, creating the same signature flavor profile in a warmer format.
